The Regulations are specially made to further strengthen international students’enrollmentmanagementand improve theircultivation qualityinaccordancewithInternational students’management regulations forinstitution of higher educationand in combination with actual teachingmanagement.

Chapter I Entrance and registrationmanagement

Article 1 Freshmen must hold their passports, Letter of Admission of Inner Mongolia MedicalUniversity, Visa Application Form (FormJW202),Non-criminal Recordand Health Certificate for registration in Institute of International Education at specified date.Failure to do as schedule shall apply leave procedure from Institute of International Education, but no more than two weeks.Absence oroverdueapplication shall be deemed asabandonmentof admission.

Article 2Physicalexamination is required for international students.If there are students fall ill and require to treat, they shall apply for leave or temporary absence, andbe exempted from enjoyingother students’benefit.

After treatment period expires and recovery, they shall apply for entrance or reentry withphysical checkup.Ifphysicalexamination is still not qualified or failing to apply within two weeks, registration will be cancelled.

Article 3 International students study in the school more than one semester must hold passports, Students’card to register for new semester’sregistrationinInstituteof International Educationat the start of the school year; failure to register within two weeks for no reason,it will be regarded as automatic withdrawal.

Article 4 Self-fundinginternational students shall pay annual tuitionandaccommodationfee duringregistrationevery semester.Failure to pay on time,registrationshall not be made.For students withfinancial difficultyetc, they shall submitwrittenapplication, explainingdefermentreasons and deadline.

If students fail to pay and apply deferment after 6 weeks ofschoolyear,it will be regarded as automatic withdrawal.

Article 5 Institute of International Education takes charge of entering students information website toregisterregistrationand academic credentialsat the first semester of school year.If registration changes, it shall be reported to education department ofautonomous regionsand informed to dean’s office and relevant departments.

Chapter II Attendance andLeaveSystem

Article 6 International students shall observestudy disciplineand attend class on time; it is not allowed to cut class, be late and leave early.

Article 7 International students shall apply leave due to illness and other things.

(I) Medical certificate is required if asking for leave due to illness. Reasons are given or relevant certificate is accompanied due to other things.

(II) For students asking for leave within 1-3 days, International Students Department will grant a leave after check; for students asking for leave within 3-7 days, they are on leave after school leaders sign; for students asking for leave above 1 week, they are on leave after school leaders sign and report the principal for approval.

(III) Leave of absenceshall be managed in advance and it is valid after approval. Compensatory leaveis not allowed except special reasons such as force majeure.

(IV) After leave days expire, students must terminate their leave in International Student Department.If it is required to extend leave days, leave procedure shall be applied again.If failing to apply by the applicant, others can be entrusted in a written manner to apply after getting the patents’consent.

Article 8 International students enjoy public holidays and winter and summer vacation in China. The school has no holiday for major holidays and festivals of students’native countries.

Article 9 If students miss aclasswithout leave, it is regarded astruancy; it truancy reaches a certain of credit hours, the right for finalexaminationwill be cancelled, and punishment will be givenin accordance with the seriousness of the caseandPunishment of discipline violationregulations for international students of Inner Mongolia MedicalUniversity.

Chapter IIIScore Evaluationand Record

Article 10 International students shall attend all courses learning andclinicalpracticespecified in teaching program, andassessmentresult and internship accreditationare recorded inacademic record.Missing an examination without reasons is marked with“0”and make-up examination is not given.

Article 11 International students areexempted from English,ideological and politicalcourses, military theory andoccupational guidanceandcurrent policies.

Article 12Evaluationmodesforcompulsory courses and optional courses are divided intoexaminationand test, and course scores are subject to finalexaminationin principle, in hundred0mark system, with 60 scoresas the passing grade.

Article 13 Make-up examination is implemented for all international students; if finalexaminationresult is failed, make-up examination shall be granted.If make-up examination is still failed, make-upexaminationbeforegraduationshall be taken.If it is still failed for this examination,graduationis not allowedtemporarily, andexaminationshall be applied from dean’s office within three months,graduationcertificate is granted after the result is qualified.

Article 14 If international students fail to take examination as schedule for some reasons, they must hold certificate to submit written application to theinstitute, and dean's office delays examination after the institute’s approval, and delayedexaminationis taken together with the make-upexaminationfor the next semester.

Article 15 Ifcheatingon an examination, the result for the course is marked with“0”, and the right for make-up examination is cancelled, anddisciplinary measuresare taken in accordance withthe seriousness of the case.

Article 16 Scoremanagementis executed by referring toJunior and collegestudents scoresmanagementprovision in Inner Mongolia MedicalUniversity(Internal Medical School[2013]No. 03) file.

Chapter IVSchool Registration Changes

Article 17 If there are three examination courses or five courses are not qualified in anexaminationor test in a semester,degradationshall be given.Ifexaminationreachesrepetitionprovision in the first semester ofschoolyear, students can join a regular class, and degradation is determined according to result at the end of the firstschoolyear.

Undergraduatesare not allowed to repeat two times whethercontinuouslyorinterruptedlyduring learning at school.

Article 18 Suspension and reentry

(I) Suspension of schoolingshall be givenin any of the following cases:

1. It isdiagnosedby appointed hospital, and treatment andrecuperationtime occupy one thirds of total credit hours or last two months continuously;

2. Sick leave in one semester is two months;

3. The student appliessuspension or the institute considershavingto be suspension for some special reasons.

(II) International students shall submit written application to the institute, and they cansuspendtheirschoolingafter the institute and theprincipal’s approval.Suspension time limit is one year.During suspension period, their registration will be kept, but withoutenjoyingstudents’benefit at the school.

(III) International students must apply reentry in advance when suspension period expires, and be transferred to next grade of original major after the institute’s approval. Government-supported students fail to complete study within scholarship term, tuition fee andaccommodationfee afterthe expiryperiod are borne by the student own.

(IV) Failure to apply reentry within two weeks is regarded asautomatic withdrawal, and registration is cancelled.Those suspension students for illness must apply reentry with medical examination report andphysical checkupis carried out again after entry.

(V) If the student still fails to go back the school due to illness when suspension period expires, he/she can apply suspension one more year withrelevantdiagnosis certificate, andaccumulatedsuspension period shall not exceed two years.

Article 19 Drop out

(I) Students shall be dropped outin any of the following cases:

1. Continuous or accumulated degradation for more than two times.

2. When suspension period expires, failure to submit reentry application within two weeks or reentryapplicationis not qualified after review.

3. Failure to register in specified time and exceeding two weeks without reasons.

4. Throughdiagnosisby appointedhospitalor certifying agent, the student suffered disease or accidentalinjuryand failed to continue studying.

5. The student rejected to suspend for illness but suspension is required, andaccumulatedmissing hours within oneschoolyear exceed one thirds.

6. Those studentsleave school without permissionand fail to participate in teaching activities specified for two consecutive weeks.

7. The student applies tovoluntarilywithdraw from theschool, andpersuasionisineffectual.

(II) Drop out forinternationalstudents is submitted to the institute with relevant files, and decided byprincipaloffice meeting.For those students applies tovoluntarilywithdraw from theschool, the institute reports to theprincipalto take treatment suggestion.

(III) For those international students to be dropped out, the school will issue the file for drop out, and the institute will report to Education Department ofAutonomous Regionand deliver to the student.Failure to deliver to the student for some special reasons,announcenotice in the school, and it is deemed to be delivered to the student after 7 working days.

(IV) Drop out certificate isissuedfor those international students for drop out.

Article 20 School transfer and major transfer

(I) Students in universities are not allowed totransferschool.Internationalstudentsenrolledby our school are not allowed to transfer major.

(II) School transfer and major transfer are considered in any of following cases:

1. Those students fail to study in the school or major due to illness orphysicaldefect identified by appointed medical organization.

2. Those students fail to study in the school or major for special difficulties identified by the institute.

(III) If there are students who want to transfer school, they shall submit written application to the institute and get the approval from the school and roll-incollege, which is filed in Education Department ofAutonomous Regions. If there areself-supporting studentwho apply transfer, follow the drop out procedure andtuitionfee is not returned.

(IV) If there are international students who want totransfermajor, they shall submit written application the institute and report todean's officefor reviewing academic record, major transfer can be done after theprincipal’s approval.

(V) School transfer and majortransfershall be conducted at the beginning ofschoolyear; it requires to study original major in the school before permission.

Chapter V Completion andUndergraduate

Article 21Graduationis granted and academiccertificateis awarded for those registered international students who complete all courses specified in teaching program in specified study period with qualifiedresult.

Article 22 If international students fail to graduate as schedule due to academicachievementin standard length of schooling, they shall delay study period, and studytogetherwith next grade under students’management, and paytuitionfee and accommodation fee as specified.Failure to delay study period, it is regarded as completion of schooling.

Article 23 If there are courses still failed in the longest study period specified by the school,graduationis not allowed, butcompletioncertificate can be granted.If there are students completing courses due to unqualifiedassessment, they shall apply examination fromdean's officein specified time, andgraduationcertificate can be replaced.

Article 24 Study certificate is provided only for those students study more than one year in the school for drop out, which indicates study duration or major and duration.

Article 25 Degree awarding

(I)Bachelor Degree Certificateis awarded for those registered international students who complete all courses specified in teaching program withqualifiedresult, and thesis (design) is qualified; the result for HSK reaches Level 4 or above (Level 6 fortraditionalChinese medicine).

(II) Degree will not be awarded inany of the following acts:

1. Two times punishment for violating the law of the People's Republic of China, order, regulations, school discipline, serious warning and below or one time punishment fordemeritand above;

2. Non-conformanceitem 1 of thearticle;

3. Those students who forge and holdcounterfeitHSKcertificate.

(III) Those students whose thesis (design) is not qualified or HSK examination fails to reach Level 4 or above, they can reapplythesis defenseor participate HSK examination within one year, and bachelor’s degree will be awarded after passing.

Article 26 If graduation certificate, completion certificate andbachelor's degreeare lost or damaged, students can apply certificate from dean’s office, and certificate has the same effect as original copy.

Chapter VISupplementary Articles

Article 27 The Regulations are applied for all full-timeundergraduates in our school. When master international students are enrolled, they are managed bytrainingunit by referring toGraduatestudents administrative provisions (trial) in Inner Mongolia MedicalUniversityafter registration by Institute of International Education.

Article 28The Regulations are implemented since distribution date, and original provisions are cancelled.The Regulations areconstruedbyInstitute of International Education.
